In 1977, the price of a gallon of gas was 62 cents. It was also the year an entrepreneur by the name of Bill Tschida got together with a couple of other guys, left the Corporate World, and started a new business in South Bend, Indiana. Taking a cue from a successful Irish organization in Town, the Company was named Shamrock Development.
The idea was simple. Hire the best local trades and build for the fastest growing restaurant chains in America. The first job was an Arby’s restaurant in Des Moines, IA.
The 90’s came and the road warriors known as Shamrock were recognized as one of the top 5 customers of Red Roof Inns. Our reward was a trip to Indianapolis to watch some racing and meet 1986 Indy Champion Bobby Rahal.
